“TURKHAS (Turkish Household Appliances Suppliers) Team” project is being carried out by TET (Electrical and Electronics Exporters' Association) with 22 companies operating in the sector. Within the scope of the project, a trade delegation to Chicago (IL) and Charlotte (North Carolina) was organized with the participation of 24 company representatives from 17 member companies of the team between 21-27 January 2018. First, the delegation held a visit to the AHR 2018 Expo in Chicago, one of the world’s largest HVAC event. Besides, the team paid a visit to Turkish Trade Center and Turkish Embassy during their stay in Chicago. Then the delegation travelled to Benton Harbor to visit Whirlpool North America Headquarters. After that, the group travelled to Charlotte and visited the facility & HQ of global household manufacturer Electrolux. Bilateral business meetings were organized simultaneously during the facility visits to both Whirlpool & Electrolux. A total of 89 B2B meetings, of which 62 of them were evaluated as positive, were held, with an average of 5 meetings per company.
